Nursing Specialist Geriatrics

Responsibilities

• Plan holistic and guideline-based care for elderly, multimorbid patients
• Assess patient status, prioritize measures, and communicate effectively
• Promote mobility through ADL training and fall prevention
• Apply validation techniques for patients with cognitive impairments
• Coordinate interprofessional interfaces with medicine, therapy, and social services
• Perform structured documentation

Requirements

• Completed training as a nursing specialist (Pflegefachfrau/mann, Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger, or Altenpfleger)
• Empathic approach to elderly and multimorbid patients
• Ability to assess clinical progress and communicate changes clearly
• Proficiency in validation techniques
• Quality-oriented and interprofessional work style
