Nursing Site Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee classroom, clinical, skills lab, and simulation lab learning experiences at the Bethany College site
• Serve as academic advisor to all Bethany students enrolled in the Dual-Degree BSN program
• Act as a liaison between Bethany College and WVWC to ensure curriculum alignment and high-quality learning
• Manage daily operations of the simulation lab, including scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance, and procurement
• Collaborate with nursing and simulation faculty to design, implement, and evaluate simulation-based learning activities
• Provide instruction and evaluation in various clinical settings
• Maintain laboratory safety and compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations
• Provide on-site support for technology and live-stream troubleshooting during classroom hours

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Current, non-encumbered Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure in West Virginia
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct patient care or nursing skills/simulation lab instruction
• Proficiency in simulation software, equipment operation, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and the handling/disposal of hazardous wastes
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with PC/Mac platforms and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience as an RN
• Knowledge of ATI resources
• Completion of Nursing Education courses specifically in evaluation and assessment
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS)
• Membership in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare
