About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach curriculum developed by the department to maximize student learning
- Plan and organize instruction, including preparing syllabi in accordance with department policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and utilize instructional technology
- Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
- Support student success through classroom and online efforts
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student information
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing (required for classroom instruction)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (required for clinical instruction)
- Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure
- Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunization records (required for clinical instruction)
- Proficiency in modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse community
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
