Nursing Mental Health Clinical Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach mental health theory, lab, simulation, and/or clinical courses within the BSN pre-licensure program
• Deliver instruction in both traditional and non-traditional clinical formats
• Support student learning and success in mental health environments and experiences
• Utilize new technologies and distance learning delivery systems for instruction

Requirements

• Current unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Maine, or eligibility for Maine licensure
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (MSN or higher required for teaching theory portions)
• Clinical practice in mental health within the past five years
• Experience with distance learning technologies and teaching students at a distance

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of teaching experience at the college level
• MSN or higher degree in nursing
• National certification as an Advanced Holistic Nurse (AHNCC)
• Teaching experience within a concept-based curriculum with an emphasis on caring science
• Experience in teaching within a simulation environment
