Nursing Instructor/Assistant Professor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor student clinical compliance requirements for all enrolled undergraduate nursing students
• Serve as a liaison among students, faculty, clinical agencies, and university departments to maintain accurate compliance records
• Support regulatory, accreditation, agency, and clinical partner requirements to ensure student eligibility for clinical learning
• Teach selected nursing courses, including potential focus in Pediatrics or OB
• Collaborate on curriculum development, assessment, and other academic matters
• Participate in scholarly activities, research, and professional development
• Serve on University and College governance committees and participate in recruitment and retention efforts

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing
• Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
• Two years of experience in clinical nursing practice
• Teaching experience in baccalaureate nursing programs
• Willingness to uphold the mission, vision, and Franciscan values of the University of St. Francis

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate (DNP or Ph.D.) in nursing or a related field
• Experience in clinical leadership or nursing administration
