Nursing Home Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the skilled nursing facility
• Ensure compliance with all CMS, state of Maryland, and federal regulations
• Lead and support department heads including Nursing, Rehabilitation, Dietary, and Social Services
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to ensure exceptional clinical care
• Oversee facility budgets, financial performance, census development, and labor management
• Ensure survey readiness and lead the facility through state and federal inspections
• Foster a positive work environment focused on employee engagement and retention
• Build and maintain relationships with residents, families, physicians, and referral partners
• Promote continuous quality improvement through QAPI initiatives

Requirements

• Current and active Maryland Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a skilled nursing facility
• Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations and Maryland long-term care regulations
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or Public Health
• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience managing facilities with 100+ residents
• Proven track record of improving facility census and survey performance
