Nursing Faculty

Responsibilities

• Utilize different teaching methodologies to prepare various kinds of learners
• Follow institution policies, procedures, and syllabi
• Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with the Director of Nursing
• Deliver assigned teaching loads and maintain regular office hours
• Supervise students in clinical settings, skills labs, and simulations
• Foster a supportive and welcoming educational environment
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director regarding student clinical placements

Requirements

• Active and encumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida
• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Three or more years of teaching experience
• Three or more years of clinical experience in the specialty being taught
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Surgical background
• Mental Health background
