About the role
Responsibilities
- Create original nursing content and update existing materials, including assessment items, tutorials, and simulations, to ensure alignment with evidence-based practice.
- Lead or participate in item review meetings with internal and external subject matter experts.
- Write multiple-choice, alternate format, and Next Generation NCLEX® style items following specific assessment blueprints.
- Conduct literature searches and analyze research articles to develop professional-level content.
- Perform beta testing and quality assurance checks on products prior to release.
- Coordinate and train internal and external contributors on various projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting overlapping deadlines.
Requirements
- MSN degree and a current RN license.
- 5+ years of experience as a full-time faculty member in a prelicensure nursing program (theory and clinical).
- 3+ years of clinical nursing practice experience in mental health, maternal-newborn, or pediatrics.
- Deep knowledge of NCLEX-PN® and NCLEX-RN® detailed test plans.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to create generalist-level content across nursing curricula.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and online research databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in teaching prelicensure mental health, maternal-newborn, or pediatric nursing.
- Experience with Next Generation NCLEX® item development.
