Nursing Education Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create original nursing content and update existing materials, including assessment items, tutorials, and simulations, to ensure alignment with evidence-based practice.
• Lead or participate in item review meetings with internal and external subject matter experts.
• Write multiple-choice, alternate format, and Next Generation NCLEX® style items following specific assessment blueprints.
• Conduct literature searches and analyze research articles to develop professional-level content.
• Perform beta testing and quality assurance checks on products prior to release.
• Coordinate and train internal and external contributors on various projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting overlapping deadlines.

Requirements

• MSN degree and a current RN license.
• 5+ years of experience as a full-time faculty member in a prelicensure nursing program (theory and clinical).
• 3+ years of clinical nursing practice experience in mental health, maternal-newborn, or pediatrics.
• Deep knowledge of NCLEX-PN® and NCLEX-RN® detailed test plans.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to create generalist-level content across nursing curricula.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and online research databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in teaching prelicensure mental health, maternal-newborn, or pediatric nursing.
• Experience with Next Generation NCLEX® item development.
