About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Nursing Program, including coordinating academic, clinical, and programmatic needs.
- Manage office operations such as receiving guests, answering telephones, distributing mail, and arranging parking.
- Handle financial tasks including processing reimbursements, check requests, and invoices for department and grant expenditures.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including room reservations, calendar invites, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Maintain departmental calendars, directories, and confidential documentation.
- Assist with exam scheduling, proctoring, and student assessment tracking (e.g., HESI, Examsoft).
- Support special events such as student ceremonies, open houses, and orientations.
- Assist with student and prospective student inquiries and provide recruitment support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an academic setting.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
