Nursing Clinical Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and college laboratory instruction to nursing students
• Plan, implement, and evaluate student practice in clinical and laboratory settings
• Arrange facility orientation with agency staff for assigned clinical areas
• Prepare and post weekly clinical assignments aligned with classroom content
• Develop students' critical reasoning and thinking skills through pre- and post-conferences
• Maintain weekly records of student progress and conduct formal evaluations
• Communicate student deficiencies to the School of Nursing Skills Lab
• Maintain open communication with the Director of Clinical Instruction regarding student progress and safety
• Serve as a professional nursing role model and maintain clinical expertise

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the State of New Jersey
• At least one year of recent clinical experience in nursing clients throughout the healthcare system
• Ability to pass physical exams, drug screenings, and provide required immunizations

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of prior clinical teaching experience, preferably at the community college level or within a staff development environment
