Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and pain levels
• Document and communicate abnormal values or changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN)
• Perform morning and evening hygiene tasks according to standard protocols
• Position and ambulate patients as directed by the care plan
• Document intake, output, and daily weights accurately
• Assist with patient feedings and set-up
• Maintain a safe patient environment by performing hourly rounds and ensuring call bells are within reach
• Assist with equipment storage, retrieval, and restocking of procedure carts
• Adhere to all isolation procedures, safety regulations, and compliance policies

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or higher level degree
• California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification
• Alternatively, completion of one full semester of an accredited ADN, ASN, or BSN program, or completion of an LVN program
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected clinical situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
