Nursery Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide care for children ages 6 months to 3 years in the It's a Small World Nursery
• Assist with unstructured play, formula feedings, diaper changing, and napping needs
• Monitor and log allergies and special requirements
• Clean and sanitize spaces and objects before, during, and after operating hours
• Maintain check-in and check-out logs using the Nursery reservations system
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding child care and concerns
• Serve as a Youth Activities Counselor as directed
• Engage in high levels of guest interaction

Requirements

• Minimum two years recent experience working with children in a recreational, daycare, nursery, or camp setting
• Experience working specifically with young children (preferably 6 months to 3 years old)
• Experience managing a minimum of 3-5 children at one time
• Ability to entertain infants and toddlers with free-play activities
• Passion for engaging young children
• Willingness to live and work onboard a vessel in a multicultural environment
• Ability to follow safety roles and emergency responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
