Nurse Trainer and Assessor

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theory-based training and assessments to healthcare workers in the Wollongong and Nowra regions
• Facilitate courses including manual handling, basic life support, and medication administration
• Conduct HISS courses for NDIS staff, covering topics such as PEG feeding, epilepsy, diabetes, and wound care
• Perform assessment duties including practical observations and marking theoretical assessments
• Utilize provided session plans and resources to ensure high-quality educational delivery

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Experienced Registered Nurse (RN)
• TAE40116 or TAE40122 qualification, or significant nursing educator experience
• National Police Clearance
• Covid-19 vaccination certificate
• Full Australian working rights
• Proficiency in using technology for both virtual and face-to-face course delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical experience in acute care, aged care, or disability support/NDIS sectors
• Previous experience teaching manual handling or basic life support
