Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological needs in an outpatient setting
• Perform neurologic history, physical examinations, and specialized procedures including botulinum toxin A injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, including infusion therapy
• Monitor treatment side effects and track patient response
• Counsel patients and caregivers on neurologic diagnoses and disorders
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other medical specialists
• Consult neurosurgery and other specialists when necessary
• Document patient healthcare journeys carefully
• Respond to urgent and emergent situations via phone or in-person
• Participate in neuroscience research as applicable

Requirements

• Up-to-date Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification
• Current Florida state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Current federal DEA license

• Experience in neurology
