Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with allergies, asthma, and related conditions through exams, history taking, and diagnostic testing
• Supervise and manage in-office procedures including food and drug challenges and immunotherapy treatments
• Create personalized care plans and prescribe medications
• Educate patients and families on allergy and asthma care and trigger avoidance
• Track patient progress and update treatment plans
• Manage oral immunotherapy (OIT) patients and provide call coverage
• Work collaboratively with allergists, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing and clinical staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulations

Requirements

• Master’s (MSN) or Doctorate (DNP) in Nursing from an accredited program
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Active California NP or PA license
• Active California RN license
• DEA registration for prescribing medications
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• 0–3 years of NP/PA experience
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Ability to start IVs and knowledge of IV infusions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in allergy, asthma, respiratory care, or pulmonology
• Experience in pediatric and adult care
• ACLS certification
