Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care
• Execute medical procedures including IV access, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, POC testing, and EKGs
• Triage patient needs for in-center, virtual, or home care settings
• Conduct video telemedicine consultations when appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technicians on patient assessments
• Manage Covid-related cases including clinical sampling and symptom management
• Document all clinical evaluations and treatments in AthenaHealth EHR
• Coordinate follow-up care with After Care and house calls teams
• Provide empathetic, patient-centered communication to families and high-profile clientele

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Nurse Practitioner state license in California
• ACLS and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in emergency departments or urgent care centers
• Proficiency with Slack, AthenaHealth, and Salesforce
