About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including physical exams, laboratory testing, and pelvic ultrasound interpretation
- Deliver reproductive health services, including family planning, STI testing/treatment, gender-affirming care, and medication abortion
- Manage patient documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain appropriate billing and coding practices
- Partner with the Center Manager to supervise clinical care and train Clinic Assistants and volunteers
- Participate in the training of medical learners, including nursing and medical students
- Support a culture of racial equity, cultural competence, and inclusive care for a diverse patient population
- Adhere to all clinical quality assurance, HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulatory standards
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Medical School program
- Professional certification (ANCC, NCC, ACNM, NCCPA, or MD)
- Active State Medical License and Controlled Substance Registration
- Valid DEA license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work a schedule including one late night per week and one Saturday per month
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in sexual and reproductive health and abortion care
- Experience using EPIC EHR systems
