About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of clinical trial participants
  • Conduct medical history reviews and physical examinations
  • Evaluate potential study participants per protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Review EKGs, laboratory results, and other clinical assessments
  • Provide medical oversight and care throughout study participation
  • Develop strong rapport with dementia patients and caregivers
  • Collaborate with neurologists, research coordinators, and sponsor representatives
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned research protocols
  • Attend Investigator Meetings on behalf of the Principal Investigator as needed
  • Support high-quality data collection and protocol compliance

Requirements

  • Current and unencumbered NP or PA license in Massachusetts
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered
  • Prior experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, neurology, or related specialties preferred
  • Clinical research experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cognitively impaired patients and caregivers
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, dependable, and collaborative demeanor
  • Passion for direct patient interaction and advancing medical research
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment
