Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and comprehensive assessments under physician supervision within a dialysis setting
• Collect patient data, including vital signs, social history, and chief complaints, to support clinical assessments
• Round on patients on a designated schedule and administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Triage emergency and non-emergency phone calls and coordinate patient transfers to hospitals when necessary
• Educate patients regarding treatments, special diets, medications, and healthy lifestyle information
• Document all patient encounters, correspondence, and clinical information within established guidelines
• Perform clinical procedures and manage specimen preparation and transport following established protocols
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and establish mutual patient goals

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Valid Nurse Practitioner License
• National Board Certification in a specialty area
• Current CPR Certification
• 1-3 years of clinical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and standard medical office software

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Nephrology
