Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care by independently managing established patients through history, physical exams, and diagnostic test interpretation
• Formulate clinical impressions and treatment plans, including medication management and patient education
• Order follow-up tests and make necessary referrals to other medical specialties
• Assist with prescription renewals, prior authorizations, and disability paperwork
• Provide cross-coverage for other NPs and MDs during vacations
• Perform inpatient evaluation and care as needed
• Document, code, and bill clinical services appropriately

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Ability to meet New York-Presbyterian Hospital credentialing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in an academic outpatient setting
• Specialized neurological training and clinical experience
