Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform echo stress testing within a busy Echocardiography practice.
• Perform complete patient histories and physicals, review laboratory tests, and start IV access.
• Administer medications and contrast agents for stress testing under physician supervision.
• Counsel and educate patients and caregivers regarding disease processes and care management.
• Document all patient and caregiver encounters accurately within the Epic EMR system.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current New York State (NYS) NP license and RN license.
• NP board certification or ANCC Board Certification in Acute Care.
• Eligibility for AHA BCLS and DEA.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work a 5-day work week at the White Plains, NY location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Specialized experience in cardiology.
• Familiarity with CUIMC/NYP systems and workflows.
