Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive health and wellness services to high school students in a residential setting via a free-standing clinic
• Manage daily medication administration and maintain accurate medical records
• Conduct health assessments, triage, and referrals for acute illnesses and emerging health concerns
• Coordinate healthcare with parents, guardians, and external providers to support students living away from home
• Provide limited, non-emergency on-call consultation as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and NP designation from an accredited program
• Current Maine state nursing license
• Experience in medication administration and medical record keeping
• Proven skills in health assessment, triage, and clinical referral
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing primary or urgent care in pediatric, adolescent, camp, or school-based settings
• Experience supporting youth living away from home, including managing stress and adjustment-related concerns
• Familiarity with the health and wellness needs of low-income, first-generation, or underserved student populations
• Ability to practice independently (license to practice independently preferred)
