Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Provide health and wellness services for high school students through a free-standing clinic
• Manage daily medication administration and maintain accurate medical records
• Conduct health assessments, triage, and referrals for acute illness and emerging health concerns
• Coordinate care with parents, guardians, and external healthcare providers
• Provide limited, non-emergency on-call consultation as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and NP designation from an accredited program
• Current Maine state nursing license
• Experience in medication administration and medical record keeping
• Proven skills in health assessment, triage, and clinical referral
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pediatric, adolescent, camp, or school-based healthcare settings
• Experience supporting youth living away from home (managing stress, homesickness, etc.)
• Familiarity with the wellness needs of low-income, first-generation, or underserved populations
• Ability to practice independently (license to practice independently preferred)
