Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and oversee nursing operations to support safe, timely, and contract-compliant healthcare services
• Plan, assign, and evaluate nursing care for intake screening, sick call, chronic care, and emergency response
• Coordinate nursing care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure prompt recognition and response to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency transfers
• Monitor nursing documentation and electronic health record accuracy
• Lead orientation, in-service education, and recurring training for nursing staff
• Support quality assurance, risk management, and internal compliance monitoring
• Perform duties as a Registered Nurse when required to meet operational needs

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Texas or ability to obtain one
• Minimum six years of professional nursing experience
• Graduate from an accredited baccalaureate or graduate nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and obtain security clearances
• U.S. citizenship and five-year U.S. residency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a detention or correctional healthcare setting
• Proficiency in Spanish
