Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and provide day-to-day oversight of nursing staff and services
• Plan and evaluate nursing care for intake screening, sick calls, chronic care, and emergency response
• Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary health teams
• Ensure prompt recognition and response to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency transfers
• Monitor nursing documentation and electronic health record accuracy and completeness
• Lead staff orientation, in-service education, and recurring clinical training
• Support quality assurance, risk management, and internal compliance monitoring
• Ensure nursing practices comply with licensure, privacy, and infection prevention requirements

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Texas
• Minimum of six years of professional nursing experience
• Baccalaureate or graduate nursing degree from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• U.S. citizenship and residency in the continental U.S.
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and obtain required security clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a detention or correctional healthcare setting
• Proficiency in Spanish
