Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversees 24-hour nursing care for assigned unit in compliance with policies, regulations, and long-term care standards
• Coordinates care across disciplines to ensure continuity, quality, and resident satisfaction
• Leads quality assurance initiatives, conducts audits, and implements corrective actions
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff; manages schedules, performance, and staffing needs
• Maintains accurate medical records and ensures compliance with medication procedures
• Participates in care plan meetings, surveys, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Provides clinical support, restorative care oversight, and effective communication with residents and families

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN License from the State of Maryland
• Minimum five years of experience in geriatric nursing
• Two years of experience as a Charge Nurse or Manager in geriatric care
• Progressive experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity
• Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• IV certification
