Nurse Educator

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the nursing curriculum, ensuring alignment with AACN 2021 Essentials, QSEN competencies, and Oregon State Board of Nursing standards.
• Facilitate student learning through engaging, evidence-based instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Provide student advising and mentorship to support learner development and socialization into the nursing profession.
• Utilize diverse assessment and evaluation strategies to measure student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in scholarly activities, including research, evidence-based practice projects, and professional presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and clinical partners to support program quality and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to shared governance and departmental decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (MS or MSN).
• Three years of experience in nursing higher education.
• Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Commitment to the mission, vision, and Christian values of Warner Pacific University.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD or DNP).
• Current enrollment in a doctoral program.
