Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care and health-related support services to students and members of the campus community
• Deliver acute and preventive health services under the supervision of the Director of Health Services
• Assist with health education, programming, and immunization compliance
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care
• Maintain a student-centered, inclusive, and confidential healthcare environment

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Texas
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in an acute care setting
• Current CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with healthcare technology, including electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications

• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) licensed in the state of Texas
• Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a hospital or ER setting
• Physician Assistant (PA) licensure
• Knowledge of or direct experience in a college health setting
