Nurse Associate (RN), Pain Management

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for a specified group of patients
• Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families to ensure cohesive care
• Conduct, triage, and follow up on patient phone calls to the physician
• Assist physicians with patient examinations, diagnostic tests, and bedside procedures
• Monitor vital signs of patients under conscious sedation during procedures
• Counsel patients regarding medication regimens, side effects, and lifestyle modifications
• Coordinate patient admissions, follow-up appointments, and ancillary testing
• Support clinical research programs by screening patients and maintaining data/records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN holders must enroll in a BSN program within 6-9 months of hire)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Minimum of two years of experience working as an RN
• Experience working in a community health setting
