About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for a specified group of patients
- Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families to ensure cohesive care
- Conduct, triage, and follow up on patient phone calls to the physician
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, diagnostic tests, and bedside procedures
- Monitor vital signs of patients under conscious sedation during procedures
- Counsel patients regarding medication regimens, side effects, and lifestyle modifications
- Coordinate patient admissions, follow-up appointments, and ancillary testing
- Support clinical research programs by screening patients and maintaining data/records
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN holders must enroll in a BSN program within 6-9 months of hire)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of two years of experience working as an RN
- Experience working in a community health setting
