About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia and related care to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures under medical direction
- Prepare preoperative assessments, including health histories and physical examinations
- Develop and implement Anesthesia Care Plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists
- Initiate and maintain appropriate perioperative anesthesia care and complete postoperative evaluations
- Maintain accurate patient records and quality assurance documentation
- Function in accordance with all institutional policies, guidelines, and safety protocols
- Maintain licensure, certification, credentialing, and current BLS and ACLS status
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
- Current Michigan RN license and certification as a nurse anesthetist (CRNA)
- Minimum of two years of nurse anesthesia experience
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree from an accredited educational program
- Five years of adult ICU nursing experience
- Five years of nurse anesthesia experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
