Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia and related care to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures under medical direction
• Prepare preoperative assessments, including health histories and physical examinations
• Develop and implement Anesthesia Care Plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists
• Initiate and maintain appropriate perioperative anesthesia care and complete postoperative evaluations
• Maintain accurate patient records and quality assurance documentation
• Function in accordance with all institutional policies, guidelines, and safety protocols
• Maintain licensure, certification, credentialing, and current BLS and ACLS status

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
• Current Michigan RN license and certification as a nurse anesthetist (CRNA)
• Minimum of two years of nurse anesthesia experience
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree from an accredited educational program
• Five years of adult ICU nursing experience
• Five years of nurse anesthesia experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
