Nurse Aide Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide competency-based quality instruction to Nurse Aide students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings
• Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles
• Prepare lecture, lab, and class materials and maintain current course syllabi and outlines
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment
• Participate in the ongoing development and revision of curriculum, course materials, and textbooks
• Advise students regarding academic needs and refer them to additional assistance as required
• Foster a safe and civil learning environment and participate in college committee work and program projects

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current RN License
• Three years of nursing work experience
• BCLS certification
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse populations and varied cultures

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of long-term care experience
• Ability to use and apply alternative instructional delivery systems to enhance learning
• Experience in curriculum development and learning assessment
