About the role

Responsibilities

  • Write and update technical acceptance specifications for waste packages
  • Analyze regulatory and technical evolutions impacting acceptance criteria
  • Review technical dossiers submitted by waste producers
  • Verify package compliance with applicable requirements
  • Identify discrepancies and request necessary technical supplements
  • Draft technical opinions for acceptance or refusal
  • Ensure full traceability of all performed analyses
  • Study specific requests within the framework of existing authorizations
  • Participate in technical exchanges with producers and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Background in nuclear waste engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience or significant internship experience (e.g., at ANDRA, CEA, or a nuclear power plant)
  • Strong knowledge of radioactive waste streams and treatment/packaging methods
  • Proficiency with ANDRA specifications
  • Expertise in waste characterization, inventory, and discrepancy management
