Nuclear Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer the Project Quality Plan and ensure the quality program is implemented throughout nuclear construction projects
• Initiate, implement, track, and close Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
• Facilitate Root Cause and Apparent Cause Analyses to identify systemic issues and preventive actions
• Plan and conduct quality assessments, internal audits, and surveillances to evaluate compliance
• Draft, maintain, and manage Project Quality documentation, including metrics and performance indicators
• Collect and analyze quality data using statistical methods to support data-driven solutions
• Mentor project staff and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
• Communicate quality feedback and client critique results to employees in a clear and timely manner

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 5–10+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a closely related field
• Working knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) implementation
• Ability to access all areas of active construction sites and work in various environmental conditions
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with NQA-1, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or U.S. NRC Regulatory Guides
• Proficiency in structured problem-solving and causal analysis methodologies
• Working knowledge of quality control procedures related to construction and field execution
