Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
• Operate imaging equipment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain processes
• Work with healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results
• Maintain accurate records
• Contribute to the development of imaging protocols
• Monitor patients for unusual reactions to radiopharmaceuticals
• Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
• Certification by the NMTCB or equivalent
• Previous experience in a clinical setting
• Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
