About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and gamma camera imaging
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following strict safety protocols
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff and students

Requirements

  • Degree in Radiography or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine or relevant experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiopharmaceuticals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
