About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and gamma camera imaging
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following strict safety protocols
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff and students
Requirements
- Degree in Radiography or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine or relevant experience
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiopharmaceuticals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
