About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop civil and structural engineering solutions for plant modifications, including scoping and development of design packages.
- Perform pipe stress analyses and design/modify pipe hangers and supports.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve routine engineering problems.
- Prepare accurate technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
- Support maintenance activities such as lifting and rigging evaluations.
- Conduct basic engineering studies and assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring work activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program (Master's degree in Engineering considered in lieu of BS).
- For Level I: 0-2 years of engineering experience.
- For Level II: 2-4 years of engineering experience and a minimum of 1 year of nuclear experience.
- Ability to achieve nuclear site Unescorted Access/Security clearance.
- Ability to participate in Emergency Response Organization (ERO) responsibilities, including on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (not technology) from an ABET accredited program.
- Background in pipe stress analysis with a willingness to learn ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III.
- Experience in the utility industry.
- Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam and a desire to pursue a PE license.
- Understanding of project management principles.
