Nuclear Decommissioning Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the study phase by drafting or reviewing specifications and scoping notes
• Coordinate and monitor studies conducted by contractors, including compiling technical feedback
• Alert project managers or site engineers regarding delays or unforeseen technical issues
• Prepare support materials for safety, security, and radiation protection committees
• Conduct site visits in controlled zones to validate technical hypotheses
• Support the execution phase by participating in work commencement meetings and regular site inspections
• Assist the Project Manager with project steering meetings and schedule tracking
• Provide planning support using MS Project during planner absences

Requirements

• Engineer degree (Bac +5) specializing in nuclear decommissioning or a related field
• Significant professional experience within a nuclear environment
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• High level of rigor, autonomy, and organizational capability
• Ability to work effectively within a team
