NSW Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all transport and depot operations across NSW to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Oversee the safety and welfare of company drivers in alignment with HSSE and operational expectations.
• Ensure NSW depots operate in strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and all legislative requirements.
• Lead and support a team of drivers through supervision, training, coaching, and development.
• Manage workforce planning, including rostering, scheduling, payroll, and leave planning.
• Oversee daily fleet planning and inbound product supply to ensure timely customer deliveries and adequate stock levels.
• Conduct incident investigations, promote hazard reporting, and lead regular toolbox meetings.
• Participate in recruitment, selection, and termination processes for operational employees.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an operational management or similar role.
• Strong understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations, including fatigue, mass, and load management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of dangerous goods transport and handling legislation.
• Proven experience in conflict and dispute resolution and negotiation.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and lead a diverse team.
