NPI/Manufacturing Engineer – Industrialization & DFM

Responsibilities

• Integrate DFM/DFA principles by collaborating with R&D during early design cycles to simplify designs for automated production.
• Lead and document Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) workshops to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
• Own the industrialization process, managing the transition from prototype builds to pilot runs and mass production.
• Define early-stage quality criteria and design assembly fixtures to ensure production meets all specifications.
• Provide technical feedback to R&D regarding manufacturing capabilities, tolerance stack-ups, and material selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record in NPI or Industrialization environments, transitioning products from labs to the factory floor.
• High proficiency in running PFMEAs and applying DFM/DFA principles.
• Strong 3D CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the defense sector.
