About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the form, fit, and function of products within HP’s imaging and printing business
  • Develop and characterize quality systems and test methods to minimize manufacturing risks
  • Use DOE characterization to refine end-to-end specifications for materials and processes
  • Partner with R&D to define quality requirements and with Southeast Asia teams for NPI transfer activities
  • Manage qualification of product changes and triage proto/production parts to resolve failures
  • Drive root cause evaluation and issue resolution using 8D, LPS, and RCD methodologies
  • Assist with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to reduce risks during new product launches
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to complete margin studies and ensure process stability
  • Access databases and use scripting tools to retrieve critical process and product data

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in product engineering or similar engineering activities
  • Proficiency with CREO 3D/2D design software
  • Experience with JMP and SQL for data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with FMEA, 8D, LPS, and RCD methodologies
  • Strong ability to work across organizations and influence decision-making centered on customer quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of physics and core engineering materials
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, industrial R&D environment
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and presentation skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and technical documentation skills
