NPI Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute process development for existing products and new late-stage clinical products, including scale-up to plant equipment
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to Production Team Leaders for process and equipment optimization and troubleshooting
• Lead technical transfers for future product introductions to the site
• Identify and develop continuous improvement projects in the laboratory to deliver cost reductions and process enhancements
• Optimize processes and equipment to improve process chemistry, cleaning, product quality, yields, and throughput
• Support process front runs and use tests for both NPI and commercial processes
• Develop process control recipes for NPIs and optimize existing commercial process recipes
• Support commissioning and validation activities during project start-up
• Develop and update batch and cleaning documentation for new products

Requirements

• Degree or higher qualification in chemical engineering, process engineering, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering within a relevant manufacturing area
• 3+ years of experience in process chemistry, including batch processing, automation, technical transfers, scale-up, commissioning, and validation
• Experience working within a cGMP pharmaceutical industry environment
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
• Detailed knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements relating to the pharmaceutical industry
