NPD/DTV Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead projects focused on the design, evaluation, and product launch of specialty refrigerated merchandisers
• Represent NPD engineering on cross-functional teams
• Manage Design to Value (DTV) projects from concept to completion
• Oversee the development of CAD solid models and engineering simulation of proposed concepts
• Develop test plans and collaborate with the Engineering Lab to validate solutions
• Conduct field tests as required to validate solutions
• Support the identification and scoping of cost-saving projects on existing product lines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Unrestricted US work authorization

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the refrigeration or HVAC industry
• 2+ years applying heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluids, and refrigeration skills to engineering problems
• Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD, specifically sheet metal solid modeling
• Experience with FEA (structural, thermal) or CFD (fluid flow) simulation tools
• Project management experience
• Lean/Six Sigma experience
