NPD Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate market opportunities for new products based on trends and competitor analysis
• Define product roadmaps, timelines, and development priorities
• Lead design, prototyping, and testing phases while ensuring quality and cost targets
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, production, procurement, and quality
• Liaise with suppliers for material identification, trials, and approvals
• Plan and coordinate pilot production runs and commercial production ramp-up
• Document technical specifications, product BOMs, and work instructions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in product development
• Experience in stationery, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors preferred
• Proven track record of managing NPD projects from concept to launch
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of product design, materials, and manufacturing processes
