NOSC Cyber Analyst

Responsibilities

• Plan, model, simulate, design, install, maintain, and manage network security and coordination.
• Monitor network security devices to ensure alerts are received and generated across the enterprise.
• Identify security risks and exposures, determine causes of violations, and suggest mitigation procedures.
• Perform network traffic analysis using raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS, and custom sensor output.
• Monitor tiered alerts for all operational networks and maintain detailed process documentation.
• Create high-level and in-depth incident reports for investigations.
• Lead cyber investigations and mentor junior analysts.
• Develop training pipelines and conduct cross-training sessions for the team.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret with SCI clearance.
• Deep knowledge of Security Operations Center (SOC) operations, including threat detection and incident response.
• Experience with network traffic analysis and security event monitoring.
• Ability to work on-site at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DC.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in Incident Handling or Incident Response.
• Ability to lead cyber investigations and brief updates to customers and team leads.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+).
• Current DoD 8570 CSSP-Analyst certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GCIH).
