Nonlinear Technical Optics SETA

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and program management support for advanced nonlinear optics and integrated photonics research efforts.
• Support research aimed at improving power efficiency and nonlinear optical performance through advancements in material science, waveguide design, and device fabrication.
• Assist the Program Manager with program execution, performer oversight, technology assessments, risk management, and strategic planning.
• Engage with stakeholders and assist with transition planning for cutting-edge technologies.
• Conduct technical assessments, risk analyses, and program reviews for multidisciplinary technical teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting advanced technology research and development (R&D) programs.
• Demonstrated project management and technical liaison experience.
• Technical knowledge of nonlinear optics, integrated photonics, optical communications, or photonic devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and excellent written/oral communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Department of Energy R&D organizations.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Expertise in second- and third-order nonlinearities, integrated photonic circuits, or semiconductor fabrication.
• Familiarity with photonic neural networks, analog/digital signal processing, and advanced computing architectures.
• Experience with proposal evaluations, research solicitations, and performer management.
