About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on aerospace products using ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), and radiographic (RT) methods
- Perform setup for specialized NDT or measurement equipment to controlled standards
- Analyze test, inspection, or statistical data to determine product and process conformity
- Develop, deploy, and implement tests, inspections, and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology
- Interpret codes, standards, and contractual specifications to control methods used at the site or program level
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for new or revised NDT methods
- For senior levels: Provide guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I/II personnel, and consult with suppliers to resolve technical issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level II NDT Certification in at least one method: UT, RT, or ET
- 3+ years of experience interpreting engineering technical information (drawings, handbooks, industry standards)
- 3+ years of experience developing or interpreting technical policies, practices, and procedures
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Ability to pass a vision exam and obtain Boeing NDT certification
- Ability to work in a radiation environment and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Preferred Qualifications
- Level III NDT certification in UT, RT, MT/PT, or ET
- 5+ years of experience conducting NDT certification preparation training or providing supervision
- Experience auditing NDT facilities for compliance with applicable requirements
- Experience working with composite fabrication
- Technical or vocational education in a related field
