About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide vision and leadership for the undergraduate Health Science Education Program within the context of the Parkinson School and University mission.
- Facilitate curriculum development, delivery, evaluation, and revision of the undergraduate program.
- Teach applied or didactic courses related to the health science curriculum.
- Manage student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to matriculated students to ensure successful progression.
- Coordinate scheduling and delivery of program core courses and manage teaching assignments for faculty.
- Engage in scholarly accomplishments and research consistent with the expectations of the Parkinson School.
- Perform academic service including advising student groups and participating in university events.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- Earned doctoral degree in Health Sciences or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in Health Sciences or a relevant discipline aligned with Parkinson School offerings.
- Evidence of teaching excellence through course evaluations, peer reviews, or similar metrics.
- Experience mentoring students, faculty, and staff.
- Demonstrated professional service to a university, professional organizations, or community partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing new degree programs (online, undergraduate, or graduate).
- Practical vision for recruiting students through non-traditional methods.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and in interprofessional teams.
