Non-Ferrous Scale Operator

Responsibilities

• Weighing and grading non-ferrous metals accurately using scale systems
• Inspecting incoming materials and determining classification and value
• Operating forklifts and directing the unloading of customer materials safely
• Providing high-quality customer service and handling inquiries or concerns confidently
• Organizing yard inventory, including bins and material flow
• Preparing and closing daily operations, including cleanup and documentation
• Communicating effectively with customers and team members

Requirements

• Experience in non-ferrous metals, scrap yard operations, or material grading
• Experience with scale systems and/or forklift operation preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations
• Reliable, organized, and proactive with strong initiative
