Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector A

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment to perform Ultrasonic and Digital Radiographic NDT inspections in accordance with approved work instructions.
• Work from verbal and written instructions, including procedures, repair work orders, and engineering drawings, to inspect parts for conformance.
• Perform calibrations of test process media and make necessary equipment adjustments to ensure valid test results.
• Inspect parts for material defects and irregularities, interpreting results to accept conforming parts or identify non-conformance.
• Complete all related documentation in accordance with customer and company policies, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Identify recurring inspection issues and recommend improvements to methods or equipment to eliminate errors.
• Collaborate with technical support groups to develop and experiment with new inspection techniques for unique or revised parts.

Requirements

• High School diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in NDT Digital Radiographic Inspection OR an Associate Degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in NDT Digital Radiographic Inspection.
• Level 2 certification in NDT Radiographic Inspection (both Digital and Film).
• Documented formal training hours per established NDT qualification and certification procedures.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with North Star Imaging equipment and software.
• Experience with other NDT methods, such as Ultrasonics and Liquid Penetrant.
