About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic inspections using Matec and IRT systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Analyze computer-generated data and sign off on product inspections
  • Conduct daily equipment walk-arounds, maintain inspection area cleanliness, and troubleshoot issues
  • Complete required classroom theory, on-the-job training (OJT), and certification examinations
  • Read and decipher detailed engineering blueprints and use precision measurement devices
  • Work with the QP&E team and manufacturing personnel to investigate inspection findings
  • Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following established procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Background in Quality Inspection, NDT methods, or strong STEM education
  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with a focus on engineering quality or process controls
  • Ability to obtain NDT Level 2 Certification within the designated timeframe
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and work the 2nd shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a quality and aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
